There are a few clear traits that define who I am as a person.
I’m curious, restless, I find it hard to relax or truly enjoy “free time,” and I naturally gravitate toward leadership roles.
I believe these qualities have had a big impact on my artistic path—especially in recent years, as I’ve felt the need and desire to run multiple projects in parallel, each with its own distinctive identity.
My quartet has been my main band since I first started playing jazz. The 11-piece ensemble began as a testing ground and has grown into a group with incredible future potential. And the Chamber Ensemble—born partly out of curiosity and partly from a desire to collaborate with musicians from other backgrounds—is another project I plan to explore in depth in the near future.
Alongside these main projects, I regularly perform solo guitar sets, as well as in duo and trio formats. I’m also deeply engaged in composition and arranging for large ensembles and big bands. In recent years I’ve worked with groups such as the KUG Jazz Orchestra and the Vienna Composers Big Band, among others.
